

Angela was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio and received her B.A. in English Literature from Ohio University in 1992.
She was awarded an Honorable Mention in Ebony Magazine's 10th annual Gertrude Johnson Williams Writing Contest for her short story, "Peaches for Mercy." She's a former columnist for the YouShouldWrite E-Mag and her short story "Trick Dice" was published in Proverbs For The People: An Anthology Of Comtemporary African-American Fiction (Kensington June, 2003). Angela is a fan of all things mysterious and founded the award-winning MystNoir Website, which promotes African-American mystery writers, in May 2000. MystNoir was named a "Hot Site" by USA Today.com, has been featured in Black Issues Book Review Magazine, and was chosen as a site of the week by the Art & Entertainment channel's Mysteries.com. Angela works as a reference specialist at a community college library and is a member of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters In Crime.
